In addition to be an outstanding Internal Medicine physician, Dr. Warren Licht is currently the Director of Medical Affairs for the Lenox Hill HealthPlex and the Director of the Medicine Service in Manhattan for the North Shore LIJ Health System. Prior to this Dr. Licht held several senior level administrative positions at New York City's Downtown Hospital.
Dr. Licht is a member of several professional organizations, such as the American College of Physician Executives (ACPE). Tasked with enhancing leadership and management among doctors who hold executive positions, the ACPE has created the Physician Meta-Leader Certificate Program.
The meta-leadership concept promotes a multifaceted style that helps executives and managers stimulate problem-solving at all levels of an organization. The program begins with a recognition of meta-leaders' personal qualities, such as an understanding of strengths and the practice of emotional intelligence.
Meta-leadership also involves the ability to correctly assess a given situation, as well as helping others perform at full capacity. This style of work helps superiors to understand your own leadership goals and abilities. Finally, the program shows how you can build consensus among diverse groups of other organizations, stakeholders, and departments for a common mission.
The program features about 65 hours of self-paced and live instruction; participants will finish with a capstone exercise.
